colorful stars shining
across sky field
moon its sole master
*
with all its might
invades darkness
wins an implicit war
*
commands birds to nest
orders others to rest
silence spread everywhere
*
he bounces around
with overwhelming joy
proud of his kingdom
*
dawn breaks
he moves across to
occupy another part
*
unaware of someone else
taking charge, on his grounds,
in his absence
*

The third verse.., just struck me..!!
nice! I like all of these!
I thought the ending of this was fabulous–the moon continuing on its task unaware and apparently undaunted by the brighter sun. Thanks for sharing this one for the rally!
I like the idea of the moon and the sun being “masters” of their own kingdoms, its a nice personification to something we see every day and night 🙂 I loved it – thanks for sharing!
