AN EVENING, that turned special

Another hectic weekday. I had to leave works incomplete, to rush to university when the clock struck 3.00pm.It was a usual play for my bike to ditch me at times of need. I was forced to take auto & then bus to reach university.

My mind at work, stomach craving for food, hands typing texts, eyes scanning the busy streets of the city— All my senses were parted & against my target.

Unlike any other day, my phone kept vibrating with calls, mails & messages- all from workplace. To make things worse, I had taken my office diary along with me, leaving my colleagues clueless. They had to ping me even for the silliest doubts.

After the tiring journey of an hour, I rushed & banged against the door of my department just to see the board that read, “CLOSED”

Frustrated, hungry & drowsy. I walked about the campus with confusion, were to proceed.
That’s when my phone rang again, with a different tone. Rather than being irritated, my eyes glowed as it read “Darshan Calling”. Yes, it was my friend, best friend calling.
“Hi….”
“Hey wait! I’m coming… Turn around…”

I looked around with shock to see him in the campus. What magic these stupid friends have to instill smile to a spiritless soul.

A loud Hi
A warm Hug
A brief talk
A light supper
All accompanied with a crazy friend.

That’s all it took, to transform my gloomy evening to cheers.
When we stepped out of the restaurant, it was dusk. As a reflection to my mind’s state, everything around was getting to its pleasant form. We had to walk a mile, before we could use any means to reach home.

The step by step walk
Hand in hand
Profound silence
Pleasing surrounding
…. made the evening very special.

The dynamic disordered day ended with a special note 🙂
Those silent moments are still singing deep within 😉
